This course is designed for all people supervising food operations in the Hospitality or Retail food industries. Pre-requisite THHGHS01B

Basic Food Safety Level 1 - Hospitality SITXOHS002A (was THHGHS01B) or Health HLTFS207B

Food Safety Supervisor Level 2 - Hospitality SITXFSA001A (was THHBCC11B ) or Health HLTFS310B.

Please note: To be the Food Safety Supervisor you must do both level 1 and 2 units.

Responsible Service of Alcohol - SITHFAB009A (was THHBFB09B) - the nationally-recognised Statement of Attainment.

All online students are provided with support by phone (business hours on weekdays) and by email (7 days a week 7am to 10pm).

How You Will Be Assessed


Whether you train online, in class or by correspondence, the assessment process is designed to meet the requirements of the nationally recognised units.  The national requirements for training and assessment, require that all units of competency delivered by CFT meet the highest standards of VET training.

You will have a set of assessment tasks, which include industry-based case studies, short answer questions and a demonstration of practical skills which needs to be observed in a work or simulated work environment.


To be a suitable observer, the person needs to have an equal to or higher food safety qualification than the person being assessed. Alternatively the observer can have food handling experience over a number a years.

Group Training

Group bookings can be made for training in-class, online or correspondence. 

Employers sometimes prefer their staff to be trained in a group so the training can be customised to their particular workplace.  The value of the in-house classes is that they can be held on a date and time of your convenience.  You also save your staff the need to travel to receive their training.

A discount applies to any group bookings of 10 or more which saves you time and money.
