Course type: Food Safety Training Courses

General Information

This course is designed for all people supervising food operations in businesses such as food product manufacturers, flour mills, canneries, dried food packers, bakers, breweries and wineries. The online course differs from the in class course in that the level 1 content is contained within the course.

All successful students are issued with a nationally-recognised Statement of Attainment.

How You Will Be Assessed

Whether you train online, in class or by correspondence, the assessment process is designed to meet the requirements of the nationally recognised units.

All assessments are integrated into short answer questions and case studies which highlight common issues that could cause food poisoning through cross contamination, inorrect times and temperature when handling food.

Online - all assessments are integrated into the learning material and completed online. 

In class - all assessments are conducted in class time.

Correspondence training - includes industry-based case studies, short answer questions and a demonstration of practical skills which needs to be observed in a work, or simulated workplace environment. The observation needs to be done face-to-face by a third-party observer who either has a food safety qualification or experience in food preparation.
